What SideCar brings the Foundation

The gap · last mile after credit

Selection is already rigorous. Ernst & Young already sits on the 2026 process. The seed can still leave the named bank and die in the last mile: a late PDF, a local story, a silent Nokia. That is a trust failure after the credit — not a failure of TEFConnect, and not a failure of Africapitalism.

SideCar does not select. It does not disburse. It does not hold float. It attests that the named bank posted, so the entrepreneur and the Foundation are looking at the same ticket.

What we bring
  1. After the named bank’s successful post: a four-field ticket (bind · amount · event · tip). Measured in milliseconds. Not a screenshot.
  2. A stub TEF can file beside the grant ID. Same key = one stamp. Failed bank post = no stamp = ₦0.
  3. Optional courtesy text to the entrepreneur’s basic phone — later, never the court, never on the attest path.
  4. Empty glass. Residual may be the tip only. No founder census on our book.
  5. Kill switch: you stop the notify, we go dark.
What we do not bring
  1. We do not replace TEFConnect, mentorship, or EY.
  2. We do not warehouse 27,000 alumni or 54-country GPS.
  3. We do not take a percent of $5,000.
  4. We do not charge the youth.
  5. We do not sit inside NIBSS or inside UBA core. UBA, if named, remains the kitchen that posts. We remain the ticket after.
Published programme · then the Nigerian slice we enrol

TEF, 22 March 2026: 3,200 entrepreneurs across 54 countries in four 2026 cohorts, from over 265,000 applications. Each selected entrepreneur: $5,000 non-refundable seed, subject to training, business plan, company papers, audit. Cumulative programme: $100m+ disbursed, 27,000+ entrepreneurs.

The published 2026 first-cohort shortlist is about 1,951 names. Reading the country field, Nigeria is about 1,380 of that first list. That is a working count until Programmes confirm. Later 2026 cohorts (May · August · November) are not assumed to be the same mix. We do not enrol 3,200 or 54 countries on day one.

Inside the 20,000, ₦12 cash is ₦0. Failed post = ₦0.

How the naira sits

Seat buys the sitting, the after-post hook from the named disbursing bank, and the first 20,000 tickets. ₦12 is only after that bundle, monthly in arrears, per successful enrolled stamp. A youth who never receives a bank credit is not a stamp. Optional Nokia text is not the proof and is not inside ₦12 unless you later ask for it as a separate courtesy.

Citizen / entrepreneur ₦0. No Remita-shaped percent. Quarterly is a review of the stamp — not a quarterly lump.

Working disbursement mix of this Nigerian list (not TEF MIS): Oct 10% · Nov 18% · Dec 17% = 45% of the list posted by year-end. Turn the workbook when Programmes name the real calendar. $5,000 seed remains on the named bank’s book — never on this glass.

Working: 40% of this list still posts in 2027 H1 as training/audit catch-up. Next-cycle Nigeria defaults to the same 1,380 working count, 50% posting in 2027 H2 — a planning slice, not a promise of 54 countries. One stamp per entrepreneur per cycle.

What the Foundation keeps

A ticket beside the grant. A youth who can show the post when the agent glass is blind. No founder file on our book. The named bank keeps 100% of the seed and of NIBSS. Africapitalism does not become a monitoring app we host.

Unit · one Nigerian entrepreneur

One seed post when the named bank succeeds. $5,000 on their book, not ours.
Working last-mile argument rate 6% of posted seeds · ₦40,000 programme / partner time each · 50% capture.
Our stub ₦12 after a successful post · ₦0 if the bank never posted.

Cover of ₦12 is the wrong speech here. A bank till runs 150 posts a day. A Foundation cohort posts once per entrepreneur. The seat is the sitting. The ticket is the product. ₦12 is the honest line after the bundle so nobody thinks proof is free and only SMS is paid.
